title Markus Giesler
Marketing & Consumption
Welcome

My name is Markus Giesler, I'm an Associate Professor of Marketing at York University's Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada. My research develops a cultural point of view on markets by investigating the socio-economic structuring and historical evolution of market and consumer networks. I develop the "what," "how," "when," and "why" of these networks in relation to a field of cultural and market conditions. On this website, you can explore this thinking and how it informs my writing, teaching, and other activities. Please enjoy reading and get in touch if you have any questions.
